Year-round Programs for Teens

The Teen Program offers a safe space with opportunities to socialize and participate in recreational activities and games in a supervised atmosphere at no cost

Our model of youth development helps teens build the foundations for their educational and professional futures while they gain meaningful social experiences.

When you join one teen program, you gain all of the benefits available through our other no cost programs.

Teen Nights

The Teen Center offers participants the opportunity to socialize and participate in recreational activities, clubs, open-mic and spoken word nights, games and more in a supervised atmosphere at no cost.

*Teens are welcome to drop in any day and time that fits their schedule. First time participants must bring a completed and signed application.

Schedule

  • Returning October 4th, 2023

  • Wednesday through Friday, 2pm — 7pm

 

Academic Resource Center

Are you a high school student looking to excel in math, English language arts (ELA), and science? We're here to help! Join our in-person afterschool tutoring service, where dedicated tutors are ready to support you every step of the way — at no cost!

The ARC is open to all high school students (9-12 grade) and can provide support with test prep and homework help.

*We are offering 1:1 in-person tutoring at RNH (5521 Mosholu Avenue) as well as virtual meetings, if needed.

Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

  • 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Youth Internship Program

We offer paid internships, that are either for one semester or the entire school year, in fields such as education, healthcare, senior services, media, entrepreneurship, and environmental stewardship.

The Youth Internship Program follows an asset-based, comprehensive youth development model which addresses the needs of today’s youth.

College Directions

This year-long college readiness program supports teens by helping them to develop and meet their postsecondary goals through college advisement. Our college program has a life-long impact: 95% of the participants go on to enroll in college, and many of whom are the first in their family to do so.
