This workshop demystifies the composting process. We will start with a "Composting 101" overview: why it matters for the climate, what "Greens" and "Browns" are, and how to troubleshoot your bin. We'll use the garden's existing bin system to demo building a new pile. Participants will practice chopping greens, turning the pile for aeration, and checking temperature and moisture levels. We’ll also discuss how to participate in NYC’s curbside and Smart Bin programs for those without garden space.
