About the photos

Riverdale Neighborhood House brings people of all ages together throughout the year to learn, grow, and explore as a community. Many neighbors share their stories of growing up here, attending preschool, using the teen center, enjoying summers in the pool, and participating in various programs.

Two years ago, we built our garden and grew our outdoor programming — providing a way for different communities to come together and for participants of all ages to connect through food and the environment. In 2024, we started our Intergenerational Advisory Council we launched our Intergenerational Advisory Council which brought older adults and teens together through neighborhood clean-ups, career fairs, and cooking classes; we hosted over 15 community events including the beloved Senior Splash attended by over 100 local older adults, we helped 100% of teens in our College Directions Program gain acceptances into college, and we increased access to swimming through community pool days and a low cost swimming program.
