Solstice Skillshare Event
Sunday December 21st
1-5 pm
Come together with neighbors to learn new skills, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate the winter solstice. Our community skill share will be a day packed with free workshops, a chance to get involved with food justice work in the area and an opportunity to learn more about local community organizations.
A full schedule of the available workshops can be found below. There will also be a sandwich making station for the Neighborhood Fridge and a Kids Zone with arts and craft activities for children. Local organizations such as JBOLC, Friends of Spuyten Duyvil, Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition and more will also be tabling with information about their programming. Refreshments will be served for the duration of the event.
In collaboration with The FreeStore, there will also be a station where you can donate and pick up gently used goods from your neighbors. Please contact Kaylana Felipe (kaylanaf21@gmail.com) with any questions about donations.
