Neighbors Teaching Neighbors: RNH Community Skillshare

Sunday September 21st
1-5 pm

Come together with neighbors to learn new skills, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate the fall equinox. Our community skill share will be a day packed with free workshops, a chance to get involved with food justice work in the area and an opportunity to decorate the RNH pollinator garden.

A full schedule of the available workshops can be found below. There will also be a sandwich making station for the Neighborhood Fridge and a rock painting station to decorate the RNH Pollinator Pathway running throughout the entire event. In collaboration with Free Store, there will also be a station where you can donate and pick up gently used goods from your neighbors.

FAQ

Is there a maximum number of workshops I can register for?

You can register for 1 workshop per session (3 total!). If possible, we recommend leaving one session blank so you can attend the food and farm intern led sandwich making session!

All the workshops are full, what should I do?

We’ve reserved slots for day of walks ins on a first come first serve basis. We’ll also have sandwich making and rock painting activities that have no attendance limitation so there’ll be something for you to do even if there’s a gap in your schedule.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes, please email volunteer@riverdaleonline.org if you are interested in volunteering.

Do I need to bring supplies?

Nope, we’ve purchased all supplies that you’ll need for the workshops.

Will the Free Store be accepting donations that day?

Yes, they will. Email kaylanaf21@gmail.com with any questions.

I’d be interested in teaching a workshop at a future Neighbors Teaching Neighbors, who do I get in touch with?

Please email Arro at amandell@riverdaleonline.org
