An Afternoon in the Neighborhood

Join us on Sunday February 22nd for an afternoon full of community activities.

Lineup:

1:15pm: Housing Law Talk from Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals (Community Room-Main Building) Come hear a housing lawyer speak and answer questions about landlord-tenant law, including evictions, rent overcharges, getting repairs done, and more. The lawyer for this session speaks Spanish. RSVP to talk here.

3-4pm: Community Café (Gym) Enjoy a homemade meal prepared by our Food and Farm interns and chat with your neighbors.

3-4pm: Seed Swap (Gym) In anticipation of the next growing season, we invite all of our gardening neighbors to exchange seeds. We will have seeds and empty envelopes to take, but we encourage gardeners to bring their own.

3-4pm: The FreeStore (Teen Lounge) The FreeStore will host their monthly popup. Stop by to drop off or pick up gently used household items.

4-5pm: Know Your Rights Training (Gym) Hosted by a local mutual aid collective, this training will equip all neighbors, regardless of status, with information on their legal rights if they are stopped or detained by ICE. A copier will be available if you would like to make copies of documents.

Refreshments will be available all afternoon.

RSVP is only required for the community talk on housing law. All other activities are open to walk ins.
