CLASS: Guided Meditation

INSTRUCTOR: Neem Dewji, director of Yoga for Bliss, based in Riverdale, now in it’s 16th year. She also teaches chair yoga and runs stress management workshops.
We live in stressful times. Modern life makes so many demands on us and bombards us with information constantly, much of which is negative and much of which we feel powerless to change.
Guided meditation can help us in so many ways: to release stress, to relax, to feel better and calmer, to sleep better, to help us feel more in charge of our reactions, and ultimately to shift our perspective and enable us to have a more compassionate, inclusive and empowered view of the world.
In this class, we offer simple meditation techniques to train the mind to become more focused and aware, so as to lead calmer, less stressed, and more fulfilling lives. A meditation practice opens our hearts and reveals us to be the whole person we want to be, both to ourselves and to others. Clear instructions are given at the beginning of each session, followed by meditation practice and brief discussions, sharings or teachings.
