Early Childhood Programs

The RNH Early Childhood program are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and meet all New York State and NYC Department of Education standards.
Programs for 3-Year-Olds
Our nursery 3-year-old class is part-time. You can choose from these two options: 3 or 2 days from 9 AM to 12:00 AM. This program runs from September through June.
Our full-day 3's program is open from 8 AM to 6 PM from September through June with the option of continuous care through the summer months.
Tuition subsidy vouchers for income-eligible families are accepted and a sliding scale is available. Four-year-olds living in New York City are entitled to participate in RNH's Universal Pre-Kindergarten initiative.
Programs for 4-Year-Olds
We have three options for 4-year-olds:
Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) - UPK is a 2 1/2 hour program funded by the NYS Department of Education and is available to all 4-year-old children living in New York City without cost. We have one session in the morning and one in the afternoon. This program runs from September through June, 5 days per week.
UPK Extended Day - Program runs from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The UPK portion begins promptly at 9 AM and ends at 11:30 AM. The Extended Day is a fee-based program that runs seemlessly from UPK and allows children to benefit from a full day of pre-school.
UPK Full Day - Similar to the UPK Extended Day, this program features a full day of pre-school while offering parents the option to enroll their children from 8 AM to as late as 6 PM.
